PROGRAM DETAILS

The first step is an Assessment
The assessment will determine if the Davis® Program is a suitable solution for the client's learning difficulties and goals.
Call (925) 639-7846 or email eastbaydyslexia@sbcglobal.net to set up an initial consultation.
The Program
The Davis program is a 30-hour one-week program which is facilitated one-on-one. Each program is customized to address the client's specific goals and areas for improvement. Because it is a creative program and is designed for the learning style of the visual-spatial person, clients work with their natural strengths and talents to overcome their learning obstacles. While many other programs address only the symptoms of the learning disability, the Davis methods get to the root cause of the learning difficulty. Clients will leave with the ability to implement the knowledge obtained during the program into daily life.

After the Program
The program provides the client with all of the tools, understanding, and materials necessary to implement the strategies into their every day lives and achieve positive results. Davis Symbol Mastery® of 217 “trigger words” (those words that do not have a visual image) is an essential part of the correction of Dyslexia. Support Training is provided on the last day for family members, tutor(s) and/or teacher(s) who will support the client in this follow-up.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Program
Who can receive a Davis Program?
Adults or children who are 8 years old or older and who are gifted with dyslexia. The client must be willing and motivated to pursue the program for self-improvement, not because someone else thinks it is a good idea.
What can a client expect to gain?
The basic tools of literacy, including: the ability to recognize and correct disorientations at will, the ability to focus attention, the knowledge of how to eliminate confusions caused by words and symbols, increased self-confidence and ability in reading, writing, math or physical skills, a method of learning that can be used throughout life.
How is the Davis Program different?
The Davis methods address the root cause of learning disabilities. The program corrects the learning disability using the natural strengths and talents of the individual's personal style. It is fun.
The Davis program does not rely on instruction-based phonics, colored-overlays, rote memorization, physical devices or medications. Many other programs address only the symptoms and involve a lot of drill and repetition (which dyslexics often find boring and tedious).
How much does a program cost?
